Q. What kind of beans are in bean pies?
A. Haricot beans, of course! They're also known as Navy Beans.
They were nicknamed after the U.S. Navy discovered their unique
nutritional balance of protein, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates.
They soon started to order them by the metric ton and the
U.S. Navy still uses the haricot bean in very large quantities
today.

Q. What does a bean pie taste like?
A. It makes you smile - try it on a friend. Bake your bean
pie. Then ask a friend to taste this great new pie you have
discovered on the net. Ask them what they think it is! Most
will just try it if they trust you. Others will insist you
tell them what it is. Not to worry, it's like a combination
of sweet potato and pumpkin pie.
Q. How long will my Bean Pie mix last?
A. Navy Bean Pie mix is made of navy beans purified and crushed
to a powder and will last for more than 5 years. Once prepared
Bean pie mix will last up 10 days in your refrigerator.
Q. Is Bean Pie Mix made with genetically engineered
ingredients ?
Just say NO to GMO (genetically modified organisms). When
it comes to our food supply we are very concerned about the
disruptive effects genetic engineering may have on our environment
and whether long term health issues have been thoroughly addressed.
We believe you have the right to make a choice between those
foods that have been genetically engineered or may contain
genetically modified ingredients. Mandatory labeling, which
currently does not exist, will enable consumers to avoid products
that are produced in such a way as to violate their religious,
spiritual and or ethical beliefs. We ask that you join us
in our efforts with government officials to ensure that food
producers and growers have consistent and accurate systems
of tracking products made with genetically engineered ingredients.
We feel it is a human right to make an informed decision
about what we put in our bodies.
