The Bean Pie was introduced in America around 1930 in the community known as Black Bottom Detroit, the Black community. It was originally formulated as a healthy alternative for sweet potato pie.

Now consumed in the Black communities across America, Canada, and parts of Europe we are pleased to be able to bring this delicious and delicate desert to all those who enjoy good food from around the world.”
